Carbost Harbour provides a safe haven for resident and visiting boats at the head of Loch Harport on the west side of the Isle of Skye.

Harbour facilities include: Pontoon berths; Swinging moorings; Pier berth; Launching slipway; Toilets & showers; Sauna.

We also offer overnight parking for motorhomes and camper vans between 4pm and 10am. Note that this is a working harbour with limited parking spaces so any motorhomes or camper vans that park between 10am and 4pm will be asked to leave.

Carbost village, adjacent to the harbour, offers: Talisker Distillery Visitor Centre; Caora Dubh Coffee Shop; The Old Inn; Community Shop; Post Office; Medical Centre; The Oyster Shack.

Note that we are unable to take advance bookings for any of our facilities. Pay-on-arrival is the only option.

Carbost Harbour is owned and operated by Carbost Pier Ltd., a community company and registered charity. All of the work that has been done to develop and maintain the harbour facilities has been done by volunteers who live in the local community.
